From the Principal:

Dear Cutler Families,

Tomorrow, the K-2 children will participate in our annual Cutler School Halloween Parade along the driveway at 9AM. Please note this is purely optional and if you have any questions or concerns please contact me. You are invited, with your cameras of course, to line the “parade route” and cheer us on! We stress the wonderful world of “childhood pretend.” No costumes representing violence or weapons of any kind are allowed. Please send your child to school dressed in as much of their costume as is comfortably possible. Please send a change of clothing as all costumes will come off immediately following the parade. Please label EVERYTHING!

On Friday, the Friends of Cutler sponsored Change is Simple, a traveling group of scientists who engaged students in a science experience across all classes. Students enjoyed learning about the environment and the habitats that impact us where we live.

We appreciate the many ways that our Friends group supports us here at Cutler and love how the programming is connected to this year’s theme, “We Belong”! I hope your child had fun!

On Wednesday, our new Cutler School librarian will begin. We are thrilled to welcome Jordan Eliopoulis (Mrs. E) to Cutler School. I’m sure she will be in touch to find ways to get volunteers into the library. Jordan lives in Ipswich, received her bachelors and masters degree from the University of New Hampshire. She’s taught first and third grade and loves to read, bake, and take her dog on walks (especially to the beach). She loves the library and can’t wait to meet you all there!

Warmly,
Juliana

From the Office:

Lost and Found:

Please have your children check lost and found in the cafeteria for coats, sweatshirts, water bottles, etc.  Below is a photo of some 'smaller' items that are in the office.  If your child is missing any of these, please have them come to the office to claim them.

UPDATING INFORMATION IN ASPEN:

Please take a few minutes to review and confirm your information in Aspen is correct. Below are the steps to follow.  It is very important we have accurate and updated information.  Thank you!

In order to review, edit and sign off on the documents please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Aspen account through the parent portal. If you need assistance with logging in, please email aspenhelp@hwschools.net
  2. Once you login, click the Initiate button in the Start a new Student and Contact Information Update box.Error! Filename not specified.
  3. Click on Each Tab and Review/Update the information.

***Some fields are required and you will not be able to submit until they are completed.***

In order to confirm your child’s Aspen and medical information, the Digital Signature box requires a Yes answer before signing your name.  No updates will be made without your digital signature, even if you “finish” completing the form.

  1. If you start to fill out the form and need to finish it at a later time, you may click on the Save & close button at the bottom of the form. To resume filling out the form, click on the green check mark next to your student’s name under Resume working on any Student and Contact Information Update that has already been started. Error! Filename not specified.
  2. When the information is entered how you want, click on Submit.
  3. The information will be sent to the main office for review before being updated in Aspen.

**Please ensure all information is as you would like. Once it is submitted, it cannot be edited until after review has been completed.**

The student handbook and relevant policies are linked in Aspen and require your review and signature and are included in this process of updating information.

Please contact us at aspenhelp@hwschools.net if you need assistance.

Ski, Skate, and Board Fundraiser: November 18th-19th at Cutler

Proceeds from this fundraiser directly support the events, programs and enrichment activities (like the awesome Change Is Simple assembly last Friday!) that are made available to our Cutler students all year long.

And we need your help! Please sign up for one (or even a few!) of the time slots to set up, organize, or work the event! If you can't be there on the days of the sale, there is plenty of opportunity to help us set up in the days preceding the event or you can donate goods to be sold!
  • DONATE: Donate your gently used items to our sale! If your items value $50+, you are eligible for a pass to our pre-sale! Donations are encouraged and tax-deductible! There is a donation bin set up in the Cutler Gallery for new or gently used winter gear (hats, gloves, jackets, ski pants). Send a few items in with your student or stop by and drop them off!
  • CONSIGN: Earn money for your previously used equipment. Consignors earn 60% of sales! All items must be tagged prior to drop off.
  • VOLUNTEER: Sign up to help set up the sale organizing and tagging donated inventory with fellow Cutler parents, and join the excitement on the day of supporting shoppers and checking them out at the registers! It's one of the most fun ways to get involved and give back at Cutler!
  • SHOP: Find great new and gently used equipment and apparel at incredible prices!
Visit our SSB event website for more details!
