From the Principal:

Dear Parents,

Parent teacher conferences allow for relationship building and learning more about how your child is growing academically and socially within the classroom. Teachers are sharing data that allows you to understand areas of strength as well as growth areas. This year, as we have continued to share screeners and student work with families during the conference,  it makes sense for us to eliminate the comment section on the report card. This will be a change across the District. Please reach out to your child’s teacher when you have questions and know that when report cards are released in December, classroom teachers will not be writing comments.

Lots of preparations are going into the Ski, Skate and Board Sale! This unbelievable event funds many of our school’s activities, including all assemblies, special field trips for each grade level, and the Cultural Festival. This year our theme is We Belong and each of the grade level field trips are focused on the environmental areas around our school. From Change is Simple last week, to some of our Audubon field trips coming up, each grade level will engage with their environment in order to enhance this feeling of belonging.

Please get involved with the Ski, Skate and Board Sale! This is the one major fundraiser and allows us to focus our energy on one big event, instead of smaller fundraisers like selling wrapping paper that can financially fall on families.

Please sign up to help!

Wishing you all a nice week.

Juliana

From the District Counselor's Office:

Good Morning,

Recently, the district School Counselors met with a representative for the MA Behavioral Health Helpline. Below is some information for the district/school newsletter(s).  This is a free resource for anyone in MA–you don’t need to be a resident, just in the state at the time of need.  Parents and Caregivers can reach out to any school counselor if they have further questions or need assistance accessing the help line.

Best,

Kristen

And we need your help! Please sign up for one (or even a few!) of the time slots to set up, organize, or work the event! If you can't be there on the days of the sale, there is plenty of opportunity to help us set up in the days preceding the event or you can donate goods to be sold!
  • DONATE: Donate your gently used items to our sale! If your items value $50+, you are eligible for a pass to our pre-sale! Donations are encouraged and tax-deductible! There is a donation bin set up in the Cutler Gallery for new or gently used winter gear (hats, gloves, jackets, ski pants). Send a few items in with your student or stop by and drop them off!
  • CONSIGN: Earn money for your previously used equipment. Consignors earn 60% of sales! All items must be tagged prior to drop off.
  • VOLUNTEER: Sign up to help set up the sale organizing and tagging donated inventory with fellow Cutler parents, and join the excitement on the day of supporting shoppers and checking them out at the registers! It's one of the most fun ways to get involved and give back at Cutler!
