From the Principal:

Dear Cutler Families,

The movie night was a smashing success and it was wonderful to see so many families gathered together, relaxing on such a beautiful fall evening!

Conferences:

Parent/ teacher conferences begin soon, and we are excited to welcome you to Cutler for this purpose. The relationship between teachers and families is critical for the development of our children, and I’m grateful for the strong support that we all feel from our Cutler community.

As you are aware, we screen children each fall in the areas of math and literacy in order to determine our instructional goals for each child. Teachers will share with you the Dibels parent reports (grade 1-5) or the EarlyBird report (kindergarten) during conferences. This will be a great time to ask questions and learn more about the presentation of strengths and areas of growth of your child.

Evacuation Drill:

As part of our Safety Plan, we will be taking a walking field trip to visit our school evacuation point. There are many reasons why we would utilize this spot, including a fire, loss of heat or sewage in the building, or of course if there were a larger crisis.  We will be walking to Christ Church by grade level on Monday morning, October 23rd. Officer Bertelli will be popping into classrooms tomorrow, Wednesday to talk with them about this plan. We are pleased to be able to add this new layer to our Safety Plan.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Warmly,

Juliana
