HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER VACATION!

Thank You!

We just want to say thank you to the entire Cutler community for being so supportive during this transition year with co-interim principals. It has been wonderful to see each and every Cutler student grow this year. We are also so thankful for the dedication and hard work of our teachers and the entire Cutler staff. We wish everyone a happy and relaxing summer break!

Notification to Parents of Teacher Qualifications

The Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires districts to annually notify all parents of students enrolled in Title I schools that they may request, and the district will provide, certain information related to the professional qualifications of their student's classroom teacher(s).

As a recipient of these funds for Cutler and Winthrop Schools, the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District will provide you with this information in a timely manner if you request it:

  • Whether your child’s teacher is licensed in the grade levels and subject areas they teach,

  • Whether your child’s teacher is teaching under an emergency license or waiver,

  • The college degree and major of your child’s teacher, and

  • Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

HWRSD is committed to providing quality instruction for all students.  If you would like to receive any of the information listed above for your child's teacher, please contact your building principal.

2022-2023 Class List:
The Friends of Cutler has created a 2022-2023 class list document. This is a tool that has been used in the past for students to learn who is in their class prior to the start of the school year and/or connect during the summer! This is not the official directory and is completely optional for families to fill out.

To fill out: You find your child's teacher's name at the bottom of the sheet and fill in their information.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a wonderful summer!

Family Fun Night: A Multicultural Festival:
Friday's multicultural festival was a big hit!  All who attended are looking forward to next year already! We would like to give special thanks to Matti Acworth, Ashley Serotta, and Laura Studley for all their work organizing and presenting our first-ever cultural festival.  Also thank you to all the families who shared traditions from around the world.  The Cutler teachers are all excited to share the Mobile Cultural Library selections with their classes.

Mrs. Graham is Retiring
It is with mixed feelings that we announce the retirement of Mrs. Graham at the end of this school year.  We are so happy for Mrs. Graham as she retires to spend time pursuing her love of music and travel. We will truly miss Mrs. Graham who has taught at Cutler School for 16 years.  We are thrilled that Mrs. Graham will return to Cutler School in the fall to offer String Jam to our fifth graders.  She has impacted so many students with her love of science, math, nature, and music!

High School Senior Parade
Last Thursday, we were so happy to welcome the seniors from HWRHS who attended Cutler School.  After parading in caps and gowns throughout the building, the graduates met with the 5th graders to answer questions and offer advice for life after elementary school.  We had several retired teachers return to celebrate with the graduates.  The celebration ended with lemonade, cookies, reminiscing with class photos, and playing on the playground.  We wish all the graduates the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Reminders re: arrival, bike safety

Arrival time begins at 8:15 and we do not have any supervision until that time.  Please make sure that your children do not arrive prior to 8:15.  Please be cautious riding your bike to school, and remember to walk your bike once you arrive on school property.  At dismissal, remind your children to walk their bikes until they are off school property to prevent any accidents with the buses and car pickup line.  Please remind students to wear their helmets!

Family Fun Night - A Cultural Festival
The return of Family Fun Night was a HUGE success! From delicious food to wonderful entertainment, a great time was had by all. A big “thank you” goes out to Martha Acworth, Laura Studley, and Ashley Serotta for planning such an amazing event, which we know will continue as a Cutler tradition for years to come!

Attention 5th Grade parents:

How crazy is it to think our kids will be middle schoolers in just a few months?

This year, the Friends of Miles River Middle School ordered a bunch of MRMS T-shirts and sweatshirts to sell and raise funds for Friends of MRMS. Cassie Honda and I ordered extra t-shirts/hoodies thinking of the incoming 6th graders.

We are hoping to have a table on June 7 at MRMS during the 5th-grade parent/guardian Welcome Night, but I can't promise availability at that point.

Hoodies are $30, we have Youth L & Youth XL and Adult XS & L. We are out of Small and Medium at the moment.

T-Shirts are $15, we have Adult XS, S, M, Large & XL.

Payments can be made by Venmo (@Maira-Fredrickson) last 4 digits 7787.

Please write your child's name, school, teacher, specify the quantity, item and size that you are looking for.

I will deliver the orders to the school.
