From the Principal

Dear Cutler Families,

Please read the contents of this News to Use as there are many details about upcoming events taking place at Cutler, including Book Fair and our January author visit. It is truly wonderful to see that these special events are “back” this year, as we’ve gone a few years without. From All School Meeting, to Field Trips, Discovery Museum in-house Field Trips, Science from Scientists and having visitors in classrooms, I’m grateful to the effort of both teachers and parents in reestablishing important educational programming.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Juliana

  1. Current email is correct

From Library/Tech:  Over the next few weeks all K-5 students will be learning about Digital Citizenship in lib/tech classes. The following can be used in family newsletters if you would like to include it:

“For kids, digital life is real life. It's where they build friendships, take a stand on issues, and do so much more.” (Common Sense Media)

Over the next several weeks, your student will participate in a Digital Citizenship Curriculum from Common Sense Media during Library/Tech class. Through this unit, we hope to empower our students to participate safely and responsibly in the digital world. This curriculum will focus on the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District Digital Citizen Goals:

  • “Recognizes the rights, responsibilities, and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world and they act in ways that are safe, legal, ethical and self-aware.”
  • Uses digital tools to broaden their perspectives, increase empathy and understanding, and work effectively in teams.”

If you are interested in receiving free text message tips about how to practice healthy media habits at home with your family, text the word kids to 21555.
