We are so happy to let everyone in the Cutler community know that Ed Kaufman, one of our Co-Interim Principals, has returned from his leave.  He will be at Cutler Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays moving forward.  We are thrilled to welcome Ed back!

 


News about Kindergarten Parent Information Night & Registration

The elementary principals would like to invite all eligible incoming kindergarten families to the 2022/23 Kindergarten Parent Information Session on Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. at Winthrop School. The Kindergarten Parent Information Session will include a general overview of the kindergarten registration and screening process, how you can prepare for kindergarten, and take a look at a typical day of a kindergartener. Registration will be March 14-19, 2022 at the Central Office. Click here for more information.

Cutler School Adjustment Counsellor, Ann Creilson, has worked with children from every grade to create our beautiful Valentine Tree. The tree has grown a Valentine heart from every child in the school documenting their personal belief about how they contribute to our school community and the greater good.


News about Food Assistance: 


With the price of heating skyrocketing, many people may be struggling to put food on the table this winter. Acord Food Pantry can offer more than just weekly food distribution to local families. If you or someone you know), are struggling this winter, Acord can provide confidential emergency assistance to anyone in need without requiring personal information. This food assistance includes fresh dairy products, eggs, meat, fish, fresh produce, and shelf-stable items such as pasta, rice, cereal, and more.

News about Cutler School Principal Search 

The search for the new Cutler school principal has started and will continue over the next few weeks.  A survey has been sent to the staff of the Cutler School, and families and caregivers of Cutler students will receive a survey this week. The information gathered will be used in conjunction with this interview process to guide us to the best candidate to fill the position. 


News From the School Committee


At last week's School Committee Meeting, School Committee Chairperson, Dana Allara, outlined the process that the School Committee will take to address the conversation around masks in school.  Between now and the next SC meeting (2/17), data will be collected from families, staff, students, and nursing staff. Each of these data sources will be reviewed and, along with the information we have received from families, there will be a vote on masks scheduled on 3/3/2022.


The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District Committee is seeking candidates for election to membership on the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee. The number of members elected in 2022 shall be three (3) members; each for a term of three (3) years. Nomination papers for prospective candidates were available beginning on Monday, January 10, 2022, at their respective Town Clerk’s Office to ensure that the “the candidate” is a registered voter before gathering the signatures of at least 40 registered voters from either the Towns of Hamilton and/or Wenham. It is highly recommended you obtain 50-60 signatures to ensure at least 40 are certified. The nomination papers must be returned on or before 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2022.


The Annual Town Elections of Hamilton and Wenham will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 7:00 am t0 8:00 pm respectively, in the towns of Hamilton and Wenham.

News About School Covid Protocol

You Can Still Sign-up for The At-Home Covid Testing Program.  Students who have enrolled to receive free at-home tests  received their two-pack of rapid at-home tests on Thursday 2/3. The intent is for your student to test before coming to school on Friday. The two-pack is designed to be used for Friday 2/4 and Friday 2/11. If you have not signed up and are interested you can complete the form linked here. Friends of Cutler Meeting

School Store

School Store is back this week, and to celebrate there is a special surprise. When entering the store, every student will have an opportunity to pick a ticket from a box. If you get a golden ticket - it can be used to buy any one item at the store! The schedule is below:
