August in April
Today has been a great success in each of our classrooms as we joined cohorts together and welcomed many of our fully remote students back to school. While lunch weather wasn't ideal, we will eat outside every day to ensure 6 feet of spacing between students. Students' camping chairs and beach towels kept them comfortable today. Layers and plenty of warm clothing for our few last cold days will be helpful, too!
Completing our daily symptom checker each morning before your child arrives at school is an important mitigation strategy, thank you for continuing to complete it five days a week.
HW Health Office
There are still seats available on some bus routes. If you are interested in having your child ride the bus, please fill out the HWTransportation Registration form.
Counselor's Corner
Welcome Back!
We are thrilled to have your children back in school five days a week! We were fortunate to see some faces we had not seen in a while and sincerely enjoyed being all together again. The day overall seemed to be a positive experience for most everyone. However, if you have any concerns about your child’s transition back to full time in-person learning, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I’m happy to partner with you to support your child through this latest transition.
Puberty Lesson Permission Form
Each year as part of our Growth and Development Curriculum, we present a lesson on puberty to our fourth and fifth grade students. An email was sent to fourth and fifth grade parents and guardians explaining the lesson and as a reminder, it will be presented to students this Friday, April 9th. If you have a fourth or fifth grade student, please ensure you have filled out this linked permission form. Thank you!
As always, I am available by email or phone for any questions or concerns you might have.
Warmly,
Ann Creilson
