Counselor's Corner
Podcast

Spring is almost here!  And while we are all trying our best to remain positive as the pandemic drags on, COVID fatigue is upon us.  In her latest podcast, therapist and anxiety expert Lynn Lyons discusses the importance of continuing to model optimism for our children.  This isn’t easy right now!  She lays out three ways to help us do this and push our way through the rest of this pandemic.

Also, as many of you are aware, children often experience worry through physical symptoms like stomachaches, digestive issues, or headaches. In the podcast, Ms. Lyons also details the physiological process of anxiety and shares how understanding the mind body connection can help us manage the physical symptoms of anxiety.  I hope you will have a listen and please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional resources in this area.

Office Hours

I am still offering office hours for parents or students on Thursdays from 10-10:30 through Zoom.  It has been a pleasure to see some of you there and I look forward to connecting with more of you!  To ensure privacy, I will have the waiting room feature enabled and will be sure to message anyone waiting.  Ms. Creilson’s Zoom Link

And as always, feel free to call or email with any concerns or questions you might have.

Warmly,
