From the Principal:
Dear Cutler Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I was fortunate to be in Boston on Saturday and walk through the Public Gardens where there were 37,000 flags on display, representing Massachusetts’ fallen soldiers since the Revolutionary war. What a powerful display. I hope you too were able to find time for reflection. It was gorgeous!
Friday, we celebrated Mary Adamik’s last official day as a Cutler School teacher. She joined Hamilton-Wenham, specifically Cutler, in 1989, where she taught 1st and 2nd grades. During the last two years she has supported the teachers and administration as an Instructional Coach, mentoring new teachers and supporting teachers in meeting the needs of all children. Even if your child didn’t have Mrs. Adamik as a teacher, we all know her smile and greeting words as we’ve entered the building. She embodies the Cutler School culture, the warm hospitality that families experience and children benefit from. She is child centered, she helps everyone, and I am personally grateful for all of the support she provided me this year as I moved into my role. Though her official last day was Friday, she is already back today volunteering, and plans to be here quite a bit for the duration of this school year. Mary is looking forward to taking care of her 1st granddaughter during this new chapter. We sent her off on Friday with her new “City Girl” cart filled with cards from children and colleagues. Mary has given so much to this school, and we are so incredibly grateful.
