School Picture Date Reminder
School picture day is on Wednesday, October 16th. Envelopes from O'Connor Studios went home last week.  Please send the completed envelopes in to the homeroom teacher. Please note that if there are financial concerns around ordering photos, please contact Ann Creilson via email, a.creilson@hwschools.net.

Halloween Parade
Mark your calendars...our annual kindergarten-grade 2 Halloween parade will take place on October 31 at 9am! This event is weather permitting...in the case of inclement weather, it will be cancelled (we have had hurricanes and snowstorms before...let's hope for sunny skies this year!).

  • Parents are invited to the front driveway to cheer on their costumed children. K-2 children should come dressed in as much of their costume as possible, with the rest in a labeled bag. Since costumes will not be worn for the remainder of the day, be sure your child has an appropriate change of clothing.  Please remember to emphasize non-violent costumes, with no weapons, gore or blood. Halloween School-Wide DEAM (Drop Everything and Move) will directly follow the parade outside on the hill.

CORI/Fingerprinting
We recommend completing the CORI form found on the Cutler website under the "For Parents" side tab if you are interested in being a volunteer. Or, you can use this linkThere is no cost to the CORI and it is a quick process. Simply bring the completed form to the Cutler office and Mrs. Parker will take a copy of your driver's license.  CORI's are good for 3 years.  If you would like to chaperone on field trips, then you will need to have fingerprinting done through Identogo. The information about fingerprinting is also on the website. Fingerprinting has a one time fee for volunteers and never expires.  Any questions, please call the office. Thank you!

Movie Night:  Friends of Cutler will be hosting the 3rd annual Movie Night! We will be showing a family friendly movie in the cafeteria, as well as shorter Halloween themed movie in the library.

We hope to see you all Friday, October 18th. Doors open @ 5:45 pm and the movie will start promptly @ 6 pm.

There will be popcorn, candy, snacks and waters available. We are suggesting a donation of $20 per family. The movie night is not a drop off event. Pjs are encouraged and feel free to bring your own blanket to sit on. Volunteers are needed to make this night a success, so please consider volunteering your time or a donation at the following link! Friends of Cutler Movie Night - Volunteers and Donations!

Friends of Cutler October Meeting: Save the date for our next FOC meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7pm (note the evening time!). We hope to see many of you there. As you know, all Cutler families are automatically members of the Friends, and even if you haven’t been able to attend previous meetings, we welcome new faces any time! It’s a great chance to find out about current happenings and ways to get involved. The meeting will take place at Cutler, and we’d like to invite you all to join us after the meeting at 15 Walnut!

Ski, Skate & Board Event: Save the date for our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year! Our Ski, Skate & Board consignment event will be taking place on November 16th& 17th. This amazing event requires many helpful hands – please be on the lookout for ways in which you can help.

Free Money:  Please send your Crosby's & Henry's Receipts into school.  No special actions required; just send the entire receipt to school. Every receipt counts towards free school supplies!

Hospitality: One of our favorite ways to show our appreciation to the Cutler Staff is to replenish the Teachers’ Lounge throughout the year. If you are able to participate this round, please aim to deliver your item(s) by Friday, October 18th.
