This week's question for kids: If you had to teach someone something –what would you teach them?

Gently Used Books Wanted
We are hoping to start a new end of year tradition this year with a Cutler Book Swap! Please consider sending in your gently used books that can be enjoyed by other students. During the last week of school, students will be allowed to peruse the used books and bring home 'new to them' books for summer reading and enjoyment! All donations can be brought to the front office. Please limit your donations to books appropriate for students in K-5. Thank you!

Melody Miles Road Race coming up!
Melody Miles is one week away - have you registered yet? Don't miss your chance to support arts education in the HW School District all while enjoying a 5k/5mi run or walk on Saturday, May 26th at 10am at the Winthrop School. What better way to start the weekend than by being serenaded by local musicians and singers while getting in your morning exercise?

And don't worry - if a fun run/walk isn't your thing or if you are out of town that weekend - you can still make a difference! New this year is the option to donate $25 and become a Melody Maker and be recognized the day of the race. Visit www.melodymiles.org to register or to donate today! Please reach out to Lexie Riordan (Alexandra_riordan@hotmail.com) with questions.

Please check out the Early Childhood Partners website for lots of special events.  www.EarlyChildhoodPartners.weebly.com

Cultural Enrichment: The Cultural Enrichment committee is excited to bring Brett Outchcunis to the Cutler School. Brett is a professional entertainer, motivator, dancer and DJ rolled into one, compact package. On May 23rd he will be presenting to the Cutler students his show entitled, “How to Make a Mistake.”
To err is human. What we DO with our mistakes is what's TRULY important. So if we all make mistakes, why not be good at them? In this presentation Ooch will talk to Cutler students about becoming 'good' mistake-makers by taking the fear and guilt out of mistakes. If mistakes help us learn, then making them on a regular basis is a good thing. However, there are a few guidelines to becoming 'good' mistake-makers. Ooch's 'How to Make a Mistake' show centers around what to do once a mistake is made, such as:
1.      Admitting it
2.     Owning it
3.     Cleaning it up
4.     Forgiving yourself
5.     Learning from it
6.     Then making new ones...
Although this show is about becoming graceful mistake-makers, Ooch also discusses the importance of honesty, courage as well as not making excuses. More information about Brett can be found on his website: http://www.oochworld.com/
Have a conversation with your child about mistakes. What mistakes have you made? What have you learned from them? How can you be good at making mistakes?
Great Gatherings: Each year, as part of the Adult Social, many of our families donate their time and resources to provide a way of socializing with other Cutler families.  These events are always such a fun way for parents to get to know each other outside of school.  The Gatherings are first offered to those attending the social and then, if spots are available, extended to the school as whole.  A few of the Gatherings reached capacity the night of the social, but we’d like to offer those with remaining spots. This is a first come, first serve Sign Up Genius.
