Open House
We hope that all current Cutler families will be able to join us next Monday, March 26 between 5-7pm for our annual Open House. This evening time is set aside to depict 'Your Student's Day at Cutler School'. Your child will be able to share important parts of his or her school day with you. In most classrooms, students serve as tour guides, leading their families through learning activities that are essential to their everyday routines. They will be proud to share different types of journals, show ongoing projects, and demonstrate math and science activities. We aim to make this a demonstration of a typical day, so we refrain from too much emphasis on finished projects, but rather, highlight the ongoing tools that are used for learning each day. This is a great opportunity to visit with your child's current teacher and to see the changes and growth in the classroom over the course of the year. Families are welcome to come to their child's classroom any time during the two hour window. Looking forward to seeing you then!

Winter Clothing Reminder
Even though Spring officially starts tomorrow, please remember to bring boots, snow pants, hats and gloves while we still have winter weather! We go outside for recess as much as possible. This week's question for kids: If you could go anywhere in the world – where would you go?

Friday's storm
As many of you are aware, we lost power before shortly 2pm last Friday afternoon at Cutler School and in the surrounding neighborhood. Students and staff alike were very helpful as we navigated the building by flashlight and did the best we could to keep occupied and safe in the darkness. We stationed all available support staff members in the hallways with flashlights, used our walkie talkies to communicate with each other, and had a designated door opener to greet parents in the gallery. While we had no phone service, knew we could contact the fire and police departments if needed via our walkie talkies. We dismissed students as parents arrived for the end of the day and managed to get everyone out safely by 3:15pm. Thank you to everyone for your team efforts!

Thank you, Cultural Enrichment!
Thank you to the Friends of Cutler for bringing Kristine Lilly to meet our students today! We all enjoyed talking about leadership on and off the field with her.
